About

My name is Francois

I am the lead Specialist Wellness Counsellor at KineticMindset, and a licensed member of the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners.

My work is grounded in psychological understanding and a holistic view of wellbeing, supporting individuals, families, and groups to develop clarity, balance and resilience through thoughtful, evidence informed supportive counselling.

My professional work is grounded in Health and Social Sciences, with a strong focus on evidence based, relationally attuned approaches. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences and Social Services, Cum Laude, with a specialisation in Counselling, as well as a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology, Cum Laude, also  within the counselling stream.

I completed supervised practice in Toronto, Canada, where I gained experience in suicide prevention and crisis intervention within high pressure, real world contexts. This training strengthened my capacity to work with emotional complexity, acute stress and individuals navigating significant life challenges, while maintaining a calm, structured holistic approach.

My professional interests and ongoing development are centred on neurodiversity and inclusion, with particular attention to supportive counselling across diverse developmental, social, and relational contexts. I have obtained competency in child and youth supportive and wellness counselling through the South African College of Applied Psychology, which informs my work with younger clients and family systems.

Through continued learning, research, and reflective practice, I remain committed to counselling that is ethical, inclusive, and responsive to the realities people face. My work aims to support overall mental wellness while contributing to environments that value understanding, dignity and meaningful participation for all individuals.
