Counselling Services
A comprehensive suite of evidence-based approaches tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual is offered, ensuring a holistic approach to mental wellness. I am committed to guiding you toward a balanced and fulfilling life, recognising that mental wellness encompasses more than just mental health.
It is the inextricable interconnectedness of body, mind, and spirit, where each element plays a crucial role in overall well-being. By addressing these interconnected dimensions, the aim is to foster lasting growth and resilience, empowering you to navigate life's challenges with confidence and clarity.

Family & Group Sessions
Mental wellness is also applicable within group and family systems, where a systemic approach can be highly effective in addressing individual and collective challenges. In this context, the counsellor adopts a systems perspective, engaging with the family or group as a whole to identify and address the dynamics contributing to distress or dysfunction. By meeting the family where they are, the counsellor helps uncover underlying patterns and relational issues that may be exacerbating individual struggles.
A systems-based approach to family or group counselling recognises that individual behaviour is interconnected with the broader relational context. In this framework, the counsellor does not view the problem as isolated to one member, but rather as part of a larger dynamic that involves the entire system. This perspective allows for a more comprehensive understanding of how each member’s actions, beliefs, and emotions influence the others, creating opportunities for intervention.
Group Support & Educational Sessions
Group sharing provides a powerful opportunity for understanding and connection. In a group setting, where individuals openly share their personal struggles and experiences, the process not only fosters healing but, more importantly, offers the reassurance that one is not alone in their challenges. Engaging with others who share similar difficulties cultivates a sense of community and can be instrumental in alleviating personal stress and anxiety.
Furthermore, each session serves as an opportunity for learning, where the latest research and evidence-based practices are discussed, allowing participants to gain valuable insights that can support their journey. This collaborative environment promotes empathy, shared growth, and the development of coping strategies in a supportive and non-judgmental space.
About me
Hello, and welcome. My name is Francois, I am the founder and lead Specialist Wellness Counsellor at KineticMindset, I am a licensed and registered member of the ASCHP - Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners. With sixteen years of experience as a flight attendant for South Africa's national carrier, I developed a profound interest in human behaviour, particularly in understanding the pivotal roles of empathy and reflective listening within interpersonal interactions. This insight, cultivated through extensive engagement with diverse individuals and cultures, prompted my transition from the travel and tourism industry to the academic and professional domains of Health and Social Sciences.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Health Sciences and Social Services (Cum Laude), with a specialisation in Counselling, as well as a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Psychology (Cum Laude), with specialisation in Counselling. I further advanced my professional expertise through supervised practice in Toronto, Canada, where I gained significant experience in suicide prevention and crisis intervention, working in high-stress and high-impact environments.
Additionally, I have completed certification in Child and Youth Supportive and Wellness Counselling through the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP), which has enhanced my ability to address the distinctive needs of younger populations. My ongoing academic and professional endeavors are primarily focused on neurodiversity and inclusion, with particular emphasis on delivering supportive counselling and promoting inclusivity within diverse social contexts. This focus underscores my commitment to advancing the understanding, care, and equitable treatment of individuals across the neurodivergent spectrum and within broader social diversity.
Through continued research, professional development, and the application of evidence-based practices, I am dedicated to making meaningful contributions to the enhancement of mental health frameworks and social systems, particularly those designed to support marginalised and neurodiverse populations. My work is devoted to fostering environments that prioritize both mental wellness and social inclusion.
